2018 Direct School Admission (DSA) to Dunearn Secondary School

(For admission to Sec One in 2019)

Introduction

The DSA-Sec allows students to seek admission to a secondary school on the basis of talents and achievements that may not be demonstrated at the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE). The DSA-Sec enables students to enter suitable academic and non-academic programmes in Secondary Schools that can develop the students according to their strengths and talents.

Dunearn Secondary School invites students in Primary 6 in 2018 who are keen to develop their interest and talents through our Applied Learning Programme – Food Science and Technology, to apply for direct entry to our Secondary 1 cohort of 2019.

Admission Criteria

We welcome students who: 

have a desire to pursue their interest and passion in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), 

possess critical thinking skills, creativity and inventive thinking, and communication and ICT skills, and 

demonstrate desire to lead teams in STEM-related projects and programmes.  

Application Process

Application forms can be obtained from the General Office during office hours (Monday to Friday from 0800 h to 1700 h).

The following documents are to be submitted with the application form: 

  • 1 x Passport-sized photo 
  • Photocopy of birth certificate/NRIC/FIN 
  • Photocopies of Examination Results Slips for Primary Five and Six          
  • Evidence and records of Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) / student leadership / Values-In-Action (Community projects) / CCA / Entrepreneurship-related participation, awards, achievements, etc.        
  • Letter of Recommendation (if any - optional)         
  • Testimonial (if any - optional) 
  • Any other relevant documents  

Completed application forms and supporting documents are to be submitted by hand or by post by 30 Jul 2018 (Monday), 5 p.m. to:
