2023 Green Schools @ South West CDC Awards

Dunearn Secondary School was awarded 3 stars in the Green Schools @ South West 2023 programme on 13th Mar 2024. 

Held by the South West CDC, this programme recognises the school’s efforts in educating and instilling public responsibility for our environment in children and youth throughout 2023. This is our second consecutive year of attaining this achievement.

Throughout the year, the students participated actively in activities to raise awareness of the environmental challenges faced and develop their sense of responsibility for the environment. Students participated in litter picking activities and planned the Essential Worker’s Appreciation Day. They also conducted presentations on various environmental topics such as raising awareness on the dangers of dengue and World Water Day and attended workshops to become ambassadors of the environment.
